Bosteza otra vez, tallándose un ojo. Clow sonríe cuando lo levanta y Howell no pierde el tiempo para acomodarse contra su hombro, tratando de no dejar que el aroma a incienso, canela y magia de las ropas de su tío lo vuelvan a hacer dormir.

- ¿A dónde vamos, tío? - pregunta.

- Mmm. - Howell espera que sea un 'mmm' contemplativo en lugar de su tío decidiendo que la sorpresa vale más. Las cuatro de la mañana no es hora para sorpresas.

Siente cuándo Clow sonríe porque es el preciso momento en que la niebla empieza a rodearlos.

- A ver fantasmas, por supuesto.

No hay donde apoyarse mientras camina entre la oscuridad de los mundos. Axel se aprieta el costado y hace lo posible por concentrarse en seguir existiendo, seguir ahí.

Este no es su final. No sin ver a Roxas una vez más porque, demonios, lo prometió y eso es importante.

Duele, detrás de sus costillas otra vez, el mismo dolor que cuándo Roxas dijo que nadie lo extrañaría, más que las heridas que Saïx le ocasionó. Duele más cuándo piensa que, quizá, no vaya a ver a Roxas otra vez.

Qué demonios. Al menos se asegurará de hacer una salida impactante.

There's no-where to support himself as he walks between the darkness between worlds. Axel keeps a hand pressed against his side and he does his best to focus on existing, to remain.

This is not his ending. Not without seeing Roxas one more time because, dammit, he promised and that's important.

It's hurting behind his ribs again, the same pain he felt when Roxas said that no one would miss him and it hurts more than the wounds Saïx caused. It hurts even more when he thinks that, perhaps, he won't see Roxas again.

What the hell. At least he'll go out with a bang.

“Ahahaha, Gai; the honor would be mine, but finding the right moment might be a bit difficult. Training the prince is taking most of my time.”

“That's perfectly understandable, sensei! You have to take care of the future of the Fire Nation by taking care of the prince Zuko! It couldn't be better!”

“Thank you for understanding, Gai. More tea?”

“Of course, sensei!”

He yawns again, rubbing his eye. Clow smiles as he picks him up and Howell wastes no time in cuddling against his shoulder, trying not to let the scent of incense, cinnamon and amgic in the clothes of his uncle to lull him back to sleep.

“Where're we going, uncle?” he asks.

“Mmm,” Howell hopes that it's a contemplative 'mmm' rather than the one which will mean that his uncle would rather keep the surprise. Four in the morning is no time for surprises.

He feels when Clow smiles because it's the exact moment in which the mist starts to surround them.

“To see some ghosts, of course.”
